Art Dump: Car Sketchbook Edition

So a couple of months ago I had the brilliant idea of keeping my sketchbook and a handful of pencils in my car so I could draw while waiting for my managers to arrive at work. I’m chronically early and my managers are always late so I’d have some time to waste every morning. This also lined up with me going on my little digital minimalism journey so I was trying to get away from using my phone too. It’s also good for my relationship with art, it’s been forcing me to get better at consistency and not spending too much time on one sketch though some of these I did over the span of a couple of mornings. Here’s some sketches I did when I first started (plus one recent one):

Recently I’ve been doing full body studies to get better at poses and general anatomy but I don’t think those are very interesting or worth sharing to be honest! I like doing portraits more and I also want to start working on expressions too. I generally prefer drawing anthros too but lately I’ve been drawing humanoids for my headmate! He has anthro characters but he’s a ‘humanoid’ so I’m back to drawing them again. I’ve been kind of slow at posting art since I’m still trying to relearn how to post online again and what I’m willing to share and keep for myself. I think I’ll post smaller works and sketches here and keep posting my finished work on my website.
